September 25, 2007 (Tokyo, Japan)–Acrodea, Inc. (CEO and President: Junya Tsutsumi), headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, and Megachips Corporation (CEO and President: Shigeki Matsuoka), headquartered in Yodogawa-ku, Osaka, announced today the joint development of VIVID Message DX.
As middleware with a visual communication function, VIVID Message developed jointly by Acrodea and Megachips provides entertaining communication through enriched expressions for email by taking plain, two-dimensional text and adding 3D graphics and animation effects for a stereographic and dynamic presentation. A new download function for content such as 3D picture fonts and animation effects has been added to VIVID Message in the development of VIVID Message DX.
VIVID Message DX can download new libraries containing 3D data, picture fonts, and conversion keywords, and immediately apply them to email messages. This download feature enables switching among 3D picture fonts and other fonts, updating with seasona- greeting picture fonts or animation characters, and using the colorful expressive effects as a communication tool for close friends or as desired by the user. Acrodea and Megachips intend to cooperate globally for broad adoption of the new communication function.
The Acrodea booth at CEATEC 2007 to be held at Makuhari Messe starting Oct. 2 will host a demonstration of VIVID Message DX.
