September 22, 2010 (Tokyo, Japan)—Acrodea, Inc. (President: Junya Tsutsumi), headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, has executed a license agreement with KDDI, Inc. (President and Chairman: Tadashi Onodera), headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, concerning the provisioning of Acrodea’s Emoji Lite®.
Acrodea’s Emoji Lite comprises breakthrough middleware that enables bulk conversion of conventional, plain text email to picture-font enriched email with the press of a single key. The feature not only adds picture fonts, but supports automated changes to text size and color, background color, and font type.
Three models made by Sharp already have implemented Emoji Lite among KDDI mobile handsets. With this license agreement executed, Emoji Lite will able to be deployed broadly to handsets released from KDDI.
